Dealer Fact Sheet: Spacelift Attic Storage Solution

Here are important details about the SpaceLift dealer program. Dealer terms and conditions will be included in the Letter of Intent and Distribution Agreement, which includes your rights of first access to future SpaceLift home storage products.
- 1. Dealer Requirements: SLP is seeking customer-focused businesses that are established in their community, have product showrooms and professional staff capable of sales, design consultation, product installation, service and maintenance.
- 2. Types of Dealers: Include home building suppliers and remodeling contractors, select homebuilders, specialty appliance dealers, elevator dealers, closet design, storage and space planning companies.
- 3. SpaceLift Attic Storage Solution: SLP dealers recognize the enormous demand for efficient home storage. Residential architects, designers and space planners can assess the utility of their client’s attics and design an attic storage space with appropriate flooring, shelving and racks to create a “climb up closet” using the SpaceLift attic lift as the doorway and delivery system.
- 4. Dealer Marketing Support: SLP will support dealers with a regional marketing plan including advertising, showroom displays and product literature. Product introduction to include promotion and direct marketing to dealer customer base, area residential architects and homebuilders and sustained by regional consumer advertising and publicity campaigns.
- 5. Target Audiences: Residential architects and designers, homebuilders and remodeling contractors and their clients, homeowners 35 years and older with household incomes of $100K+.
- 6. Dealer Margins and Profit Centers: There is a minimum monthly commitment with a healthy margin, which increases with unit sales or volume purchases. Dealers will also profit on SLP “attic storage solution” assessment and design, unit installation, applicable space build out and service.
- 7. No Inventory Requirements: SLP dealers are not required to carry any inventory other than a supply of replacement parts. Dealers may issue purchase orders as SLP units are sold or earn bigger volume discounts purchasing in lots.
- 8. Product and Parts Shipments: To assure expedient shipment and delivery, SLP inventories will be maintained at a regional distribution center.
- 9. SpaceLift Installation Certification: SLP will provide dealer with complete site assessment and installation training. All units are to be installed by certified individuals. Training program includes the step-by-step installation process and on-going product technical support.
- 10. Installation Time: With an existing framed 22-1/2” x 54” attic opening and finished attic floor, the installation process requires one person approximately two and one half hours to complete.
- 11. SpaceLift Warranty: SLP units are warranted for twelve months parts and labor from date of installation. Certified installers must have homeowners complete the Warranty & Registration Card to initiate the warranty period. SLP will cover cost of dealer parts and labor during the warranty period according to the terms of the SLP Distribution Agreement.
- 12. Proprietary Technology: SLP automated storage systems are protected by a substantial portfolio of pending U.S. and international patent applications. This core proprietary technology is integral to future SpaceLift products and our dealer network’s ability to sell innovative products that enhance the convenience of home storage.
