Raising storage to a higher level.

SpaceLift 6000 Model Demonstration

The SpaceLift 6000 attic lift system includes an integrated telescoping stairway, which is exclusive to SpaceLift products. As with conventional fold-down ladders, the SpaceLift stairway disappears into the ceiling when not in use. When the stairway is deployed, the SpaceLift platform remains stowed in the attic, out of the way of the access hole, providing easy operator access to the attic storage space.

When the operator activates the SpaceLift 6000 wall-mounted remote control unit the SpaceLift platform automatically moves into position above the attic access hatch, and is lowered along the SpaceLift stairway rail tracks to the floor below suspended by four aviation-quality steel cables. The operator then loads the platform, returns to the control unit and commands the platform to automatically rise along the stairway rail tracks into the ceiling, to the original offload stowed position.

With the lift platform in the stowed position the operator uses the stairway to access the attic and unload and load items to and from the storage space.

entering the activation code

Step 1

  • Operator manually deploys telescoping stairway
  • Enter activation code into wall-mounted remote control keypad

lowering the platform

Step 2

  • Operator commands lift platform to lower from ceiling
  • Lift platform moves from stowed position and descends stairway track
  • Load management system senses any object interference with downward travel of lift platform

loading the platform

Step 3

  • After lift platform reaches end of travel, operator loads storage object onto lift

Step 4

  • Operator commands lift platform to return to ceiling
  • Lift platform ascends stairway track
  • Load management system ensures lift platform not overloaded

Step 5

  • After reaching top of travel, lift platform returns to stowed position
  • With attic access hole clear, operator climbs stairway to attic
  • Remove storage object from lift platform

Engineered for Quality and Reliability

SpaceLift automated storage systems are designed with the highest considerations for quality and reliability. The SpaceLift 6000 attic lift system is never to be used to move people. It is only intended to carry boxes, packages, and other storage items.

The SpaceLift 6000 model includes a sophisticated impact detection system that automatically stops or auto-reverses the lift platform with the slightest contact or if excessive weight is loaded onto the lift platform.

Microprocessor control enables a number of special test and adjustment modes that keep the SpaceLift 6000 system functioning at optimal levels. A wall-mounted remote control unit allows the homeowner to command the lift platform. Security code entry and redundant switch contacts prevent unwanted operation and prevent inadvertent movement of the lift platform.
